Dr Sarika Mehta, a Mountaineer, and a founder of Biking Queens previously Succeeded in her initiative taken to spread Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Slogan “Beti Padao, Beti Bachao” and travelled 10 Nation on her bike.
This time, in 2019, along with her fellow biker ride Jinal Shah and Rutali Patel—set out on the journey of their lifetime. The Trios’ has targeted to ride 25000km for women’s’ pride, through 25 countries, across 3 continents. To complete it in 90 days by concluding their journey in London on August 26.
Biking Queens ride for Women’s Empowerment
They had begun their journey from Surat on 4th June’2019 with all the warm wishes from PM Narendra Modi Ji. The flag off had done by the honourable CM of U.P. Shree Yogi Aditya Nath on 5th June at the city of temples- Varanasi.
The group during the expedition covering 3 continents- Asia, Europe and Africa. It includes Nepal, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, China, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Latvia, Lithuania, Belarus, Poland, Czechoslovakia, Germany, Austria, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Spain, Morocco and London.
“We have been preparing for this trip for the past year now. Today day has done. There are a lot of obstacles – weather, food, terrain, documentation etc that can come in our way during such expeditions and tackle all of it requires a lot of homework. I read books, talked to riders and local communities there to acquaint myself with the routes and cultures of all these different countries. Yes, I am very happy with our preparations,”.

“Today, we see women flourishing in each and every field. Yet I came across cases of woman abuse, exploitation and what not. Our journey motive is to inspire women across the world. To tell them that if we, coming from a small town like Surat, can achieve this, so can you”, she added.
